PASTOR’S KIDS

Growing up in the family of a pastor isn’t beans at all! Much is always expected of you. You are seen as a supposedly 'righteous person' you are expected to be a saint. Any small offence like this you hear things like " I thought you are a pastor’s child or kid" and I’m like, mstcheew... Thankyou o Angel of remembrance! So because I’m a pastor’s child I can not make mistake abi or I am now a super human?

Then, there's the part where you misbehave in the house... my my! Just know that, the whole congregation will know about it. You will be the topic for that Sunday. Or you forget your bible and go to church( it happens) everyone will know you came to church without a Bible because your father will call your name from the pulpit.

Sometimes I just wish I wasn't a pastor's child but forget o... Not like its bad, but one has to be extra careful... One thing I have grown to understand is that most times when you see pastor's kids messing around, Satan the devil is at work. It happens when the devil can't get through to the pastor or the wife. So the last option is the children. But no matter how bad a child of a pastor, or preacher or minister is, they still find their way back. Although it may take sometime but the prayers their parents have poured out will never be in vain.

Frankly, being a pastor's child is fun. In the sense that, you get to relate with other pastors kids who are friends of your parents. These kids Also help you in places where you are slacking behind. Iron sharpeneth Iron😊 Also you have the privilege of meeting some men of God who ordinary people are dying to meet.😍 I am actually proud to be a pastor's kid.😊🙌

I remember when I was in school(university) and I had this coursemates who also happened to be pastor's kids but were messing around, it always got me worried because I would be thinking how will their parents feel especially their fathers?? Really I usually feel sorry because I was imagining my father hearing stories like oh! Promise is sleeping around with guys or Promise is one of the greatest when it comes to exam malpractice.. knowing my father to be emotional.. He will just break down and start shedding tears... or he might even beat the hell out of you and put Heaven inside of you... That's one of the things that kept me going. Another thing is Hebrews 13:4 which says " Marriage is honourable with the bed undefined. Whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. That Bible verse always rings in my head. Then my mother would always say to me "Promise you are a princess. You don't see princesses behaving anyhow or dressing anyhow. You are different. You should set the standard not them setting the standard. I won't lie, it hasn't been easy but God has always been helping me.
